This book 2013 book was written by Dr. Jemima Pierre, who studies how “racecraft” came to exist and manifest itself in Ghana. Her work considers the ways in which race exists in a predominantly Black society. This includes stereotypes about two “types” of Whites in this space, i.e “The Peace Corps Whites” and “Development” Whites. Socio-economics intersects race to discuss how modern societies that consider themselves pro-Black spaces still embody and reproduce hierarchies of White privilege in a globalized world.
